Predosa (Italy), November 18th 2016

HMI - Hyundai Italian Rally Team returns to the Monza Rally Show and for the first time all the four team's cars are lined up: alongside the two Hyundai i20 in World Rally Car spec are two Hyundai New Generation i20 R5; in recent weeks the team has received the second unit of the new Korean car, the same spec that HMI had the honour to line up at its debut in the Tour de Corse valid for the World Rally Championship with Fabio Andolfi.

With the same Hyundai New Generation i20 R5, Andolfi and Fenoli stood out at the Rallye International du Valais, the last round of the Tour European Rally staged in Switzerland, where they were the best performers, presenting the newborn weapon of the Korean manufacturer with its first special stage victories in international events.

HMI returns to the Monza Rally Show after the second and fourth places overall obtained in 2015 respectively with the works Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville and Alessandro Bosca at the wheel of the Hyundai i20 World Rally Cars. This year the two WRCs by Hyundai Italian Rally Team will be entrusted to two crews who are familiar with both the cars and the race on the track set north of Milan:

Corrado Fontana, together with Giovanni Monti, returns to Monza Rally Show four years after his last participation, when he finished in seventh place overall with at his side the man who this year will be his teammate, his father Luigi (already together in the 2005, when they were beaten in the Masters' Show semifinals by Colin McRae).

Luigi Fontana, codriven by Roberto Mometti, last took part in the Monza Rally Show in 2010, although he has already sampled the WRC by HMI in some events as well as in a Ronde on the same track last year.

Alongside the car for Fabio Andolfi and Manuel Fenoli, the second Hyundai New Generation i20 R5 by HMI will be entrusted to young Riccardo Pederzani, only 18 years old and already at his third participation in the Monza Rally Show, on the circuit that saw his debut when he was 16 and where, codriven by Mirko Reto, he will sample the latest entry in the HMI paddock at this weekends' Special Rally Circuit on the Monza racetrack.
